Bur Oak Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery is a referral practice dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of lameness, respiratory problems, back pain and other problems which limit your horse’s ability to perform comfortably.
Dr.Boero and his dedicated staff want you and your horse to enjoy and remain competitive in whatever equine discipline or recreational form of riding or driving you do. From helping foals to overcome joint infections or developmental orthopedic problems to helping your older horse age gracefully and keep moving.
Although the clinic is our base of operations, Dr.Boero still travels to provide lameness evaluation, chiropractic care, acupuncture, shockwave and laser therapy, field surgeries, dentistry and preventive health care.
We use an integrative approach combining traditional and alternative therapies. We offer a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services including digital radiography, digital ultrasound, fluoroscopy, upper respiratory endoscopy, diagnostic and surgical arthroscopy, orthopedic, upper respiratory, urogenital, and general surgery, chiropractic, acupuncture, shockwave therapy and surgery, traditional intra-articular therapies, IRAP, PRP, and stem cell therapy. We also do pre-purchase exams, provide preventative health care and dentistry and work with your Farrier to meet the needs of your horse’s feet.
